Saroj Khan: The Dancing Queen of the tinsel town bade au revoir!

Born during the post independent India, Saroj began to show the traits of becoming something great in the not too distant future. Days flew away and she grew up in winds and showers! She never knew that she would become one of the finest choreographers of Bollywood. But it was something which really happened with her. Really the moments of delight, moments of surprise and ecstasy.
Under the able tutelage of the much famed choreographer Sohan lal, Saroj gradually trained herself. She began her career as an assistant choreographer. Infact it was the song featured on Nutun, the actress of the golden age of cinema, “Nigahe milaneko ji chaha tahe”. Accolades flowed from the four quarters of the earth. And surely , after this she did not have to look back!
Destiny had a different plan as she got a major break in the movie “Teezab”, where her choreography for the song “Ek do teen” on Madhuri Dixit brought her the first film fare in the later 80’s. The song “Dhak Dhak” from Beta, featured on. Madhuri Dixit still warms up the soul! It too fetched her the second film fare. However, the saga continued uninterruptedly as she received film fare for eight times. On the other hand, her chemistry with the other actors like Kareena, Karishma, Urmila and others were quite flawless on the silver screen. But Madhuri and Sridevi would always top the list without any room of doubt!
But death never pardons any soul. At the age of 71, she silently passed away leaving behind myriad memories on the sands of time. Her grace and beauty always blended in a unique manner, quite different from the rest! Bollywood has really lost its prized possession today. A lovely lady indeed! May her soul rest in peace!!
